Let me welcome you again on behalf of Phila Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd.With regards to the ongoing try from my side, am here with
another side of India, the festivals, here, in India there are lots of festivals
celebrated and being a Hindu majority in Country, still many different
festivals related with the religions of Muslem, Christian are also celebrated
with the similar enthusiasm.
The birth celebration of Lord Ganesh is celebrated as per
the Hindu calendar and which falls between some time during 20th
August to 20th September, and this year it will start from 19th
September. Also known as Vinayak Chaturthi celebrated for 10 days in major
parts of India, mainly in Maharashtra State (Province) and the streets are
filled with welcoming Lord Ganesh as “Ganpati Bappa Morya”.
It is big blast as many of the places huge idols of Lord Ganesh
are placed with colorful decorated pandals for 10 days, ending on Anant
Chaturdashi, which will fall on 29th September 2012. The Hindu caste
has faith and reverence on Lord Ganesh and even the other caste people are also
getting involved in this festival with same faith. The celebration begins with
bring the idols of Lord Ganesh and keeping it in the vividly decorated Pandals
(huge tents) with the decorations such as lighting, Portraying different situations
related with mythology, history and current topics of India and world.
The celebration begins with the Prayer to Lord Ganesh in
morning and in evening, with Prasad (gift of sweets) being distributed among
the devotees and it is said that the Lord Ganesh loves the Modak Laadoo (sweet
round dumpling made from rice flour/wheat flour with a stuffing of fresh or
dry-grated coconut, jiggery or sugar, dry fruits and some other condiments, either
steam-cooked or fried) and those are almost always there near Lord Ganesh. Many
places the live theatrical dramas and devotional live music and songs and such
other programs are organized during these 10 days and on the 10th
Day, the idols are submerged in the sea with people shouting the slogans “Ganpati
Bappaa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya” (O Lord Ganesh, come soon next year) .
