Mumbai: Commercial and Entertainment Hub


Another addition to the blogs on behalf of ‘Phila Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ here we give you….. The city of hope and money, financial capital of India, cosmopolitan city, people from all parts of India have come and settled here to earn and better their lives, congested and cramped at times, but still loved by all, powerful history and great expansion of limits. Most populated city of India and fourth in the world, commercial and entertainment hub. Oh, and this not all, there is lots more to talk about this city.
This city has seen many improvements, has monuments approved and conserved by world heritage organization, UNESCO and places of interests, temples, wonderful architectural buildings and gardens, it is amazing what this city has preserved itself in and what sort of marvels its expanding in to. The City also hosts the Western Command of Indian Navy. It is said, this city never sleeps, and fast life is motto here. Whatever you can think of, you will find here, just need the eye for detail.
Bollywood, Marathi Movie, major TV productions are hosted by this city, many actors and actresses live here, movies releasing every week, hits and super hits, the one and only competitor to Hollywood of USA. Similarly, the more movies released, the more number of theatres and multiplexes, you can’t miss a chance to see movie here.

This city is widely connected by road from different parts of India with National High ways, by rail routes of Indian Railways and Central Railways from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly known as Victoria Terminus- a UNESCO and World Heritage Site) and Western Railways from Churchgate Station. By Air, with domestic and International Airport Terminals connecting to all parts of India as well as International routes to the world too. Local transportations available by rail road, 3 different lines viz., harbor, central and western, connecting almost every part of city.
By road, with the public transport of B.E.S.T. the public limited company run bus service, through out Mumbai city from north to south and also from western line till eastern suburbs.
Taxi with typical color of black and yellow top are metered one and also now a days private companies are plying their vehicles for transportation at the charge which are better vehicles, new and air conditioned. 
There is one more way traveling by hiring a three wheeler widely known as, Auto Rickshaws, these are allowed with the limited of areas and not in teh heart  area of south Mumbai. So, to say the traveling is not too hard, if you exactly know where you want to reach and how. 
Mumbai has sea port for transportation of goods to or from Mumbai and nearby areas through Mumbai Port Trust (Mumbai) and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (Navi Mumbai).

 Mumbai also boasts one of the oldest, first among the three in India and premier universities now called the “University of Mumbai” with usual and diversified education courses for regular, part time and distant learning education.  Most efficient police force, in general compared with Scotland Yard Police, Stock Exchange noted by the major stock dealing exchanges in the world, Bombay StockExchange, Beaches like Chowpatty beach, Juhu beach, Aksa Beach, places for prayer of different religions Hindu, Muslim, Christains, Sikh, Parsi (originated from Persia, now Iran).
If you are here for holidays and fun, than you are at the right place to start the fun and entertainment, even if you have come to this city for some business, still take few days more to be in Mumbai and see around, we are sure, you will not regret the decision, places like Gate way of India a monument erected by the British during their rule, visit Elephanta Caves, one can take a ferry boat from Gate way of India for a ride of about an hour and reach the island, and walk up the steps to see those caves, a world heritage site, spend about 3-4 hours there and return back to the main island, walk towards ChatrapatiShivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum), later on take a stroll in Jahangir Art gallery and walk towards Hutatma Chowk and then visit the Place called Mani Bhavan (related with the life and information about Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi) and the busy business place of Nariman Point, later in the evening can stroll in Colaba market for shopping.

In the evening get in some restaurants for variety of food, from Indian to continental and specialty dishes as per the nations and preparation styles, which can be found around colaba area. You can also find the street hawkers selling food items like Wada-Pav and Dabeli (sort of Vegetarian Burger), Pav-bhaji, Bhel, Pani-puri and Sev-puri, Fresh fruit Juices and Chinese food stalls are also quiet easily available here.
For your convenience you may hire a travel service for taking you to different places during the day as mentioned above plus, Mahalaxmi temple, Hanging Garden, chowpatty beach, aji Ali Mosque,  HajiAli Mosque, Mahalaxmi Racecourse, NehruPlanetarium, Sidhi Vinayak temple, Swaminarayan Temple, Juhu Beach, ISKCON Temple and have a shopping experience at Linking Road, Atria Mall at Malad, May be extend your journey of visit till Water Kindgom and Esselworld, Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Kanheri Caves till Vasai fort. Well, that will require at least 2 or 3 days for sure visiting all these places.
